You see how people write themselves to-do lists of all the errands they need to run and things they need to do? Well I am forever writing myself to-buy lists instead, because there are always things that I need to go and buy but always forget!
At present it consists mainly of small bits and bobs, a new pair of earphones or headphones - I can't decide on which, so maybe both, I need to buy an r4ds card for my Nintendo, and I need a bigger memory card for my camera for when I go on holiday next year.

But most importantly I need to buy myself some professional personalised ear plugs. I go to a lot of live music concerts, gigs and festivals as part of my job, and I've also started DJing so I'm in environments with blaring loud music a lot, and I need to protect my ears.
You order online and then go to a centre to get your ear canal impressioned, then within 2 weeks they send you your personalised professional noise attenuating ear plugs. They cost about £100, so this will be my Christmas present to myself I guess!

There have been many freak deaths over the course of history, read on to find out about ones that occurred during the Renaissance. I bet these poor individuals wish they’d gone to www.sunlife50plan.co.uk and got themselves life insurance!
In 1514 the peasants’ revolt leader in Hungary, György Dózsa, was condemned to sit upon a red-hot iron throne with a similarly red-hot iron crown atop his head and a red-hot sceptre in his hand. Surprisingly, Dózsa did not die as a result of this painful roasting but instead met his end when eaten by six of his fellow rebels who had been starved for a week. Tycho Brahe, a Danish astronomer, died from an excessive dose of politeness. As it was considered rude to leave a table before the meal was finished, Brahe stayed until he strained his bladder and subsequently died of complications. James Betts met his death in 1667 through asphyxiation after being sealed in a cupboard by Elizabeth Spencer who was attempting to hide him from her father.
The ‘Low lighthouse’ in the Burham-on-Sea, United Kingdom, is one of the smallest lighthouses in the world. Built in 1832, the lighthouse is just nine metres tall, and functions as a navigation tool, providing a white flash every 7.5 seconds. The Kiz Kulesi lighthouse in Turkey is one of the most beautiful in the world, sitting on a small islet just off the coast of Istanbul. A staggering 2500 years old, the tower has witnessed the island upon which it is located be used for a variety of things, ranging from a burial chamber, a quarantine area, and a customs area.

Middle Bay lighthouse in Albama, USA, is a perfect example of a screwpile lighthouse, meaning a lighthouse which is screwed into piles that sit upon the sea or a riverbed. Built in 1885, the hexagonal lighthouse was recently refurbished and a new solar-powered red light was placed on top of it. None of these lighthouses use led gu10 bulbs as they require gigantic light bulbs!
Look what I've just bought!

I've always wanted gladiator sandals but never been brave enough to buy, let alone wear, the huge ones that extend all the whole way up your legs, so these are a great compromise for me. They're so cool!
I'm going to a lot of festivals this summer so these will help to complete a series of perfect summer-festival-fabulous looks, and they are really comfortable too!
They're fun, and you can team them with shorts, skirts or dresses this summer for a gorgeously edgy but unbelievably stylish look.
You can get them with wedge heels too but I want them for festivals so it's not very practical. But they do look great, maybe I could get another pair, nor for festivals...
