Lego for Professionals

Many think that Lego is just for children but a look at Nathan Sawaya’s work with Lego will certainly persuade these people otherwise. In 2006, following Hurricane Katrina, the New Orleans Public Library commissioned Sawaya to build ‘Rebirth of New Orleans’ entirely out of Lego pieces. Jamie Berard, a Lego senior designer, explained that some adults are so involved with Lego projects at home that “it can tax a relationship”. Watch out this doesn’t happen to your children when you buy them their Lego ninjago!

For modelling, education, and graphics, adults have begun increasingly using Lego in business. The Lego Group is now rethinking its Certified Professionals program as a result of the incrementing amount of professionals now using Lego. The Certified Professionals are a group of just 13 adults who the Lego Group has anointed as Lego Masters. Now that so many professionals are beginning to use Lego, Lego wants to make the Certified Professionals group seem less elitist. I think this is a good idea!
